3 day Flinders Ranges Tour (departs Adelaide every Friday)

ITINERARY

DAY 1:

We depart Adelaide at 7:00am for Wilpena Pound Resort via Port Pirie, Port Germein and Port Augusta – the crossroads of Australia. At Port Augusta we explore the Flinders Ranges and Outback and can take an optional tour at Wadlata Outback Centre’s Tunnel of Time. We discover its origins, the Aboriginal Dreaming, European settlement and much more. After lunch we head towards Wilpena Pound via Quorn and Hawker. From Hawker we visit Kanyaka ruins and then spend the night at Wilpena Resort.

DAY 2:

After breakfast we take a peaceful bushwalk to Wangarra Lookout and the Hill Homestead. We can also visit Sacred Canyon and Arkaroo Rock where we can take an optional tour of these major Aboriginal Art sites. We then travel the geological trail through the Brachina Gorge. This gorge traces the geological history of the area for hundreds of million years. Our next stop is the Prairie Hotel at Parachilna where we taste some Aussie tucker. Blinman is our next destination before returning to Wilpena Resort.

DAY 3:

We depart Wilpena Resort at approximately 9:00am for Adelaide via Hawker and Quorn. From Quorn we travel through the Southern Flinders Ranges to Wilmington. Adelaide is our next destination via the Germein Gorge. We arrive in Adelaide at approximately 6:00PM.

TOUR DETAILS

COST PER PERSON: $1895:00 (including GST) minimum 2 passengers. Departs every Friday.

TOUR INCLUDES: Pick up Adelaide or Port Augusta. Accommodation (twin share) at Wilpena Resort, breakfast on days 2 and 3, morning and afternoon teas, dinner on days 1 and 2.

NOT INCLUDED: Lunches, optional tours.

TOUR CONDITIONS: “JUST CRUISIN” reserve the right to alter or modify itinerary if prevailing weather, road conditions or adverse conditions require such change. Tour costs do not include additional accommodation, meals and incidental expenses incurred from flooding, natural delays, unavailable connections or other unforeseen circumstances. It is suggested travel insurance is purchased to cover additional accommodation, meals and incidental expenses resulting from flooding, natural delays, unavailable connections or other unforeseen expenses prior to departure. Due to the nature and remoteness of outback travel it is suggested anyone with health problems should seek advice from their doctor if necessary.

BOOKING CONDITIONS: A deposit of 20% is required to confirm your reservation. Balance is payable 21 days prior to departure.

CANCELLATIONS: Must be made 14 days prior to departure or full deposit is forfeited.

DON’T FORGET: Your camera, good walking shoes and hat. Please limit luggage to a small bag, and most of all don’t forget your sense of adventure. It is suggested that appropriate sickness, accident and personal liability insurance be taken out.
