1 Day Southern Flinders Ranges Tour departs every Friday

Enjoy a 4WD tour of the magnificent Southern Flinders Ranges, travelling through ancient ranges in pristine, untouched Australia, away from the tourist crowds.

We depart Adelaide at 7:00 am and travel through the mid north towns of Port Pirie and Port Germein where we visit the longest wooden jetty in Australia at almost 1.6 kilometres in length.

The next stop is the hidden treasure of the Bridal Track in the Southern Flinders Ranges. These ancient ranges rise up 750 metres (2,400 feet) above sea level, giving spectacular views in every direction.

We then engage 4WD and climb up to the ridge tops through Sheoak Groves and large stands of Yakka trees. Some of the Yakka trees are thought to be over 600 years old. Please note access the Bridal Track is dependent on weather and may not be available on the day. (NOTE: BRIDAL TRACK IS NOT AVAILABLE IF TOURING IN BUS)

We then continue on to Port Augusta, and visit the Wadlata Outback Centre, where you will learn about the origins of the Flinders Ranges, the Aboriginal Dreaming, Australian Explorers, and much more.

After a light lunch we head to the Southern Flinders Ranges, travelling via Wilmington and Orroroo, where you will see a 900 year old River Red Gum.

After enjoying the serenity of the Southern Flinders Ranges we head back to Adelaide via the Clare Valley wine-making region. We arrive in Adelaide at 6:00 pm.
